TONGTAI HB-500II HB SERIES – HIGH PERFORMANCE HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTERS

Description

The Tongtai HA/HB/HG series of seven high-performance horizontal machining centers offers a comprehensive selection of machine sizes and capabilities.

Machine X-Y-Z travels range from 24″ x 23″ x 23″ (610 mm x 584 mm x 584 mm) to 79″ x 55″ x 50″ (2006 mm x 1397 mm x 1270mm). The three largest machines in the series have box guideways while the others have linear guides.

Both 40-taper and 50-taper spindles are available. Five machines have integral spindle drives, while the two largest machines feature 2-speed geared heads. With 40-taper spindles, 33.5 hp/12,000 rpm is standard, and with 50-taper spindles 40 hp/10,000 rpm is standard.

Pallet sizes range from 16″ x 16″ (404 mm x 404 mm) to 50″ x 50″ (1270 mm x 1270mm). Standard toolchanger capacity is 60 tools, with up to 240 tools optional. Toolchange time with 40-taper spindle is 1.5 sec., and with 50-taper spindles 2.4 sec. A 1 degree B-axis is standard, as is 1,000 psi through-spindle coolant. Rotary pallet changers are standard with except for the two largest machines for which they are side-by-side.
